Filming inside a Studio

You may experience quite a few set-backs and challenges when filming on location. Some of these pitfalls are closely connected to an inability of control light. The sunlight may be too harsh, too low or even moving as the sun travels. At a studio, the crew also has electrical backup or lighting gear to supplement an ever changing shoot.

What is a Green Screen Studio?

Chroma keying or “green screen shooting” involves an actor performing
in front of a solid-colored green or blue background. In post-production, the background is removed
and replaced with graphics or a location which would otherwise be expensive to rent and difficult to film at.

10 Advantages of Filming at a Studio

1. Shoot all day and night

Since you have full control of the lighting setup, you can shoot day or night without any time restrictions.

6. noise control

Besides the occasional chopper circling overhead, studios are sound-proof and allow you to get the cleanest audio.

2. cost effective

By filming at a studio, you can save on outdoor locations, permits and special rental insurance fees.

7. lighting control

Unlike an outdoors shoot where you have to struggle with the sunlight being too harsh or too low, a studio provides a controlled lighting environment.

3. privacy & security

You don’t have to worry about a drunken man crashing your set and spending an hour trying to get him to leave. Yes, that really happened.

8. parking

No need to worry about meters or the high cost of parking at a lot. Our studio provides ample parking space for you, your client and crew.

4. Time saver

No need to scout for locations and travel from one place to another. You can complete all of your filming needs in one place.

9. electricity

No need to rent a generator when you have access to house electricity.

5. getting desired look

From stage and lighting to equipment and props, you can get everything you need to achieve just the look you are going for.  And if there’s a visual that can’t be created physically, you can use a green screen to do it in post-production.

10. security

Post-production can be done right in the studio while the filming is happening. This may include a live switch or a live background drop into the green screen footage.
